Summary

Plaintiffs allege that Facebook scanned the contents of users' Facebook messages, without their knowledge or consent.  Facebook was looking for URLs that users were sharing.  Facebook then used the content of those URLs to build a larger picture of the user, with the hope of improving targeted advertising.  Plaintiffs allege that this data was illegally collected.
