Jabbari v. Wells Fargo

Case # 15-cv-02159
Case Name Jabbari v. Wells Fargo
Jurisdiction US District Court for N.D. CA

Plaintiffs allege that Wells Fargo routinely signed customers up for additional accounts and services without the knowledge or consent of those customers.  When customers then failed to meet minimum balance requirements or pay fees for these unknown accounts, Wells Fargo directly withdrew the funds or sent the delinquent fees to a collections agency.  These practices were encouraged by the Wells Fargo corporate structure through the use of incentives and sales quotas for sales staff.  As a result of these practices, Wells Fargo customers suffered repeated financial harm.
