Case # | 16-cv-02965 |
---|---|
Case Name | Torczyner v. Staples |
Jurisdiction | US District Court for S.D. CA |
Summary | Staples offered a rewards program, which offered customers "rewards credits" for qualifying purchases that could be used towards other purchases at Staples. Plaintiffs allege that Staples routinely engaged in deceptive practices to short members the rewards credits they had earned. Specifically, Staples did this by applying coupons for non-qualifying items pro rata across the entire transaction, which artificially decreased the amount of rewards credits customers earned. |
