Koller v. Deoleo USA

Case # 14-cv-02400
Case Name Koller v. Deoleo USA
Jurisdiction US District Court for N.D. CA

Plaintiffs allege deceptive labeling practices by Deoleo (formerly Med Foods), a major importer and retailer of olive oil.  Plaintiffs allege that the oils were labeled "Imported from Italy", despite containing significant amounts of olives that were grown and pressed in other countries.  Plaintiffs also allege that the products were labeled "extra virgin olive oil", despite the fact that the Defendant's packaging ensured that the oil would degrade beyond the accepted standard for extra virgin olive oil by the point of sale.
